Certifications & Regulatory Compliance

ViewHawk Systems Limited

Effective Date: 01 January 2026

The ViewHawk X4 is an enterprise-grade unmanned aircraft system engineered to support professional and government operations operating under national civil aviation authority frameworks.

The X4 airframe itself is not type-certified. It is designed for use in certified and permitted operational environments where unmanned aircraft are approved through operator certification, operational approvals, or specific authorisations, rather than aircraft type certification.

Regulatory Alignment

The X4 has been designed with consideration for the following regulatory frameworks:

  • CAA New Zealand  Part 101 and Part 102 operational environments

  • EASA (EU) Specific Category (SORA-based) operations

  • CASA (Australia)  ReOC and excluded category operations

Final regulatory approval and operational authorisation remain the responsibility of the operator and local aviation authority.

Component-Level Compliance

The ViewHawk X4 integrates commercially available and industrial-grade components that are manufactured in accordance with recognised international standards. Where applicable, these include:

  • Flight control and avionics systems designed to meet CE, FCC, and EMC requirements

  • Lithium battery systems tested in accordance with UN 38.3 transport safety standards

  • Electronic subsystems compliant with RoHS directives

  • Payload systems supplied by established OEM manufacturers with supporting compliance documentation

  • Relevant component documentation can be made available upon request.

System Integration and Regulatory Responsibility

The ViewHawk X4 is a configurable unmanned aircraft system intended for professional and specialised operations. As a modular platform, final system configuration, payload integration, and operational use may influence regulatory compliance depending on the jurisdiction and application.

ViewHawk Systems Limited designs and assembles the X4 in accordance with established engineering practices for electromagnetic compatibility, electrical safety, and RF integration. However, regulatory requirements vary by country and operational context.

The operator or purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the system, as configured and deployed, complies with all applicable:

  • Aviation regulations

  • Radio frequency and telecommunications requirements

  • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards

  • Operational approvals and airspace authorisations

System-Level Compliance Status

Unless explicitly stated in writing, the ViewHawk X4 is not supplied with system-level certification or an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC).

The platform is currently positioned as a professional UAS for evaluation, development, and operational deployment in jurisdictions where system-level certification is not required or is managed by the operator.

ViewHawk Systems Limited is actively progressing system-level compliance validation, including EMC and RF integration testing, to support future certification pathways.

Engineering and Compliance Approach

The X4 has been engineered with consideration for future compliance, including:

  • Controlled power distribution and grounding architecture

  • RF integration aligned with certified component operating limits

  • Separation of high-power and sensitive avionics systems

  • EMC-conscious wiring and system layout

These design principles are intended to support efficient progression toward formal certification as the platform matures.

Limitation of Liability — Regulatory Use
